Childhood
I was born and raised in Northern Oklahoma, so I have a soft spot for nature and wildlife photography.
As a child, my parents would pass out disposable cameras to take photos of our yearly trips to Colorado and other various road trips. As I grew older, I continued to mess around with any camera I could get my hands on.
I taught myself things here and there by fiddling with settings to see how it would effect the photos. It wasn't until I was 17 that I realized I wanted to pursue photography as a career rather than a hobby.
I remember once I had chosen photography as a career path, my parents told me that it made sense; seeing as how I had taught my Aunt how to use her new camera when I was just 6 years old.

University
I finally took a photography class when I was attending NOC and was hooked. After graduating from NOC with an Associate's in Mass Communication, I began my journey in Photographic Arts at UCO.
During my studies, I received the wonderful opportunity of shooting sports, theater performances, and other activities as a photographer for UCO's student run newspaper, The Vista.
While at UCO, I also dipped my toes into commercial and product photography; it was a wonderful experience and I would love to expand my knowledge in that style of photography.

Passion
My passion lies with performance and event photography. As a music lover and past dancer, I love being able to capture performers in their element, passion shining through their concentrated movements.
I have a huge love for music and enjoy basing my photoshoot concepts around specific songs or albums.
I've always loved urban, street, and architectural photography. I was thrilled to explore more of these diverse styles after moving to OKC.
